Shawano Ratepaters Inc. is the Association representing Dickey Lake, Lost Lake, Lake of Islands and Perch Lake.  This is a teriffic community within Lake Township, which is a part of Marmora & Lake Municipality.

We co-ordinate many summer activities for our members:

HAZARDOUS WASTE PICK UP - TBA

The municipality will be picking up items, which cannot be placed in the regular garbage, on this date.  Please take you items to the boat launch before 2:00 PM Saturday.

DICKEY DAY - July 19th 

This is an annual get together for all members, with barbequed hot dogs, pop, and many activities and contests for the younger crowd.  There are prizes to be won in each fun game for the victors.

ANNUAL MEETING  - July 26th 

This is a chance for all members to provide input to their executive as to how they wish them to deal with a multitute of issues.  It also affords the board with the opportunity to let the membership know of the many issues that SRI have been addressing and dealing with in the previous year.

SHAWANO GOLF TOURNAMENT - August 9th

This is a fun day for anyone wishing to take part.  You don't need to be a skilled duffer to enjoy this day.  There are prizes to be won for many different categories.

MARMORA & LAKE COUNCIL MEETING - August

Marmora & Lake Council hold one meeting, each summer in the lake area.  The purpose is to allow our ratepayers the opportunity to address their concerns directly to council.  As in past years, this meeting is held at the Zion United Church on the Ridge Road, between Coe Hill and our lakes.

SAILING REGATTA - TBA August

CORN ROAST - August 23rd 

A great opportunity to meet your fellow cottagers,  enjoy some corn and kick back and relax.

FISH DERBY - TBA July 

A fishing contest for all age groups.  Many prizes to be won.

LOON'S CALL Newsletter - May and October

Shawano's semi-annual newsletter is mailed to all area resident members in May and October.  It is filled with useful information about our activities and concerns for the area as well as local history .
